Manfredi Beninati

Manfredi Beninati (b. Palermo, Sicily, 1970) lives and works between Palermo, Rome and Los Angeles. Forthcoming projects include a solo show at Max Wigram Gallery scheduled for 2010. In 2009 he exhibited at the 53rd Venice Biennale (Padiglione Italia) and the 4th Prague Biennale.  In 2008 Beninati had solo shows with Tomio Koyama Gallery (Tokyo) and Max Wigram Gallery, he also  participated in the Quadriennale di Roma and Liverpool Biennial. In 2005 he was selected as one of four artists to represent his country at the 51st Venice Biennale where he received the audience award for the Italian pavilion. In 2006 he was given a fellowship at the American Academy in Rome as part of the Rome Prize.
